SUPPORTED LIVING

Supported Living

We offer a person-centred approach service to housing and support to promote service users’ autonomy, choice and inclusion to live independently within their communities. Our homes are set up to offer an atmosphere of safety, independence and warmth.

We ensure that each service user lives a meaning and fulfilled live within their own terms. We achieve this by working collaboratively with service users to develop their personalised support plan and undertake periodic reviews with them and together with their identified key support network including professional teams around them.

Daily Living Skills

Through focused key working sessions, we encourage service users to engage long term goals of living independently by supporting them to develop basil daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking and maintaining their nutrition and promoting their personal care and hygiene.

Therapeutic Services

We offer access to well-being workshops and events facilitated by in-house mental health professionals including talking therapists and counsellors. we also offer therapeutic services through physical activities led by in-house personal trainer. We adapt the Recovery Start Model to encourage service users to build on their skills and strength.

Employment / Educational support

We believe that financial independence could promote one’s mental health so we support service users by collaborating with them to search for part-time jobs, volunteering opportunities to build on their employability skills and also support and encourage them to access adult education or vocational training opportunities within their local and neighbouring communities.

Robust Transition Support

We acknowledge that each service user’s journey to recovery Is unique and transitioning into supported living could be significant change hence it is essential that a service user is accorded a smooth and supported transition. We ensure that:

  • We tailor our support to meet specific requirements by conducting a person-centred and thorough assessment and planning session to ascertain service user’s needs, wishes and aspirations
  • Our dedicated and experienced support team provide practical support with task packing and unpacking belongings, moving, organising and setting up the new living environment. The team also offers emotional support by listening attentively, offering reassurance and encouragement to calm and address any feelings of anxiety or uncertainty.
  • We empower and promote service user’s independence to make decision about their own living arrangements. This includes supporting them with their tenancy rights to give them control over their living environments and ensure they have legal protection as tenants.
